Kimberly & Phillip - Des Moines
Last weekend we had the pleasure of photographing Kimberly and Phillip's wedding. Even though the weather forecast threatened rain and gloom, we were blessed with blue skies and beautiful sun shining for the special day. Traveling between three different locations for the ceremony, reception, and photoshoots, we definitely kept busy! We were fortunate to find an amazing spot for our photoshoots at the Landmark on the Sound in Des Moines. Formerly the Masonic Home of Washington built in 1926, this amazing mansion is now open to the public and made a spectacular backdrop for the wedding party. The ceremony was held at West Valley Advent Christian Church and the reception following at the Des Moines Yacht Club. Both sites were completely transformed with the exquisite decorations -- absolutely stunning! The bride is a future wedding planner herself, and we definitely give her props for her amazing work! The entire day was filled with love and joy and we were so thrilled to be able to capture their memories. Congratulations Kimberly and Phillip, we wish you many years of happiness!

Ashley & Owen - Golden Gardens Park
We had the honor of photographing Ashley and Owen's wedding last November, and we were delighted to reconnect with them to shoot their "Day After" session last weekend. Even though the weather looked ominous, the rain held off and the clouds ended up making the sky an amazing background. Witnessing a couple so in love and full of joy, we all found it easy to share a smile and a few laughs. Ashley and Owen are such a fun couple, we always enjoy spending time with them. Thanks for a wonderful day and we hope to see you in the future. May God continue to bless you as a couple and your life together. Here's to a lifetime of happiness to you both!
Vollmer Family - Palisades Park
We had the pleasure of photographing the Vollmer family last week. With three boys, all age seven and under, you can imagine how much energy there was going into the session. Trying to keep them in one place was a challenge, but they did a great job of making it through the 90 minute session. Towards the end they lost some steam, but as soon as mom and dad pulled out some balloons, their energy quickly returned! It is always a blast watching a fun family event unfold in front of the lens. The excitement on the boys' faces (as well as the parents') was all too easy to capture on camera as they released the balloons to vanish into the sky! We really appreciate you guys and thanks for letting us spend the day the you!
